I enjoyed reading this story. Other than numerous relatively minor editing/proofing issues, it was well written and flowed smoothly with generally good word selections, The story was somewhat different in that the protagonist turned to the dark side, justifying executions of outlaws as being in the best interests of the law. Maybe. However , his justification for keeping the outlaws' loot boiled down to simple greed on his part. No matter, it made for a story that held my interest. I can overlook the fact that the author, in a scene near the end of the book, forgot the shoulder in which the protagonist was shot. All in all, I thought that this story warranted about three and a half stars, but raised it to four stars because I enjoyed it, the story was a little different and the voice of a fresh writer in the Classic Western Genre was refreshing.

In reading this book, it made me wonder if this type of behavior was more prominent than the good guys with the white hats are often depicted. The end justifies the means. Very interesting take on a Western where the guy wearing the white hat is also wearing the black. Entertaining.
It's a shame. This started out to be a good story I thought but couldn't get past the first page of the second chapter becuase of all the errors. I don't understand how books like these get to market without proper editing.
